Do you know a way to kill all the fish in a pond and still have them safe to eat? Dynamite, M-80's, etc. aren't an option...

you could remove all food sources...including algae and insects. wait for them to die, but honestly, the best way would be to fish them out. a little inefficient but more humane?

Rotenone is normally used to kill off fish in ponds, but I don't know for sure if they will be edible until the chemicals completely break down. If the pond is small you can pump it dry. If it has a dam you could take a back-hoe to it and dig a hole through one side below water level, however you could lose some fish this way.

The raw fresh BLACK WALL NUT in a burlap sack does deplete the oxygen levels in the water soaked in the pond long enough WILL kill all the fish and leave them safe to eat.Depending on the size of the pond which will determine how much you will need to use.But why would you want to do this?

Poison, as others have stated, is probably the easiest. Problem is to make sure you don't over/under use it. There are various kinds of poison to use (organic and chemical) depending on your preferences. I've linked a nice guide that has different types/methods of poisoning fish as well as some guidelines as to the calculations for strength of poison to be used. If the poison merely suffocates the fish I suppose they may still be safe to eat. Obviously the cleanest way to do it, for eating them, would be to drain the pond...
