Yeah they don't tear up as easy as the others but I've fished every kind on the market and prefer Zoom's horny toad. I think the action of this bait is far better than the others who cares if I have to buy more packages of them. That just means I caught a bunch of fish. Good luck and hold on tight.

The topwater frog baits I like best are the 3/8 oz Mann's Super Frog in Cypress Frog pattern, 1/2 oz Snag-Proof Pro Tournament Frog with Owner brand hooks in green, and 5/8 oz SPRO PRO Bronzeye with Gamakatsu hooks in Green Tree color and designed by Bass pro Dean Rojas. SPRO has the most colors available, the best hooks and are easiest to cast into the wind since they are the heaviest and their larger profile makes them easier for bass to find in thick cover. They are all very good topwaters and a blast to fish in pads and grass mats. Make sure you get all the water out of the bodies after each cast.

I think for the most part they're all the same.

I'm a big fan of Top water bass fishing, I always use either a hula popper or a torpedo.

The Hardnose products allow you to keep the plastic lure on the hook better. I used them and it held true.
