think it is perfectly harmless to rip a fish out of the water by a metal hook in its mouth or half way down its throat, hand it around their friends and then throw it back in again.

while people who keep fish take lots of extra care not to cause their fish any stress atall, it is even considered stressful to the fish (which can cause them to die) to tap your fingers on the tank, or place it in water 1 or 2 degrees different than what it has been living in.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against angling - I used to love it as a kid and if I had the equipment I would do it again. It's just that the views of anglers and fishkeepers differs so much on how they should be treated.

I'm looking for wadable flats or backwater that I could fish without a guide. I will probably hire a guide for a day or two but would like to fish solo as well.

I am trying to buy a .50 cal black powder kit for a friend. He already has the "moder" style of rifle but would like to have the old "Daniel Boone" type. Does any one know where you can buy or order one?

Assuming it snows, of course. ;)

I grew up in Ohio & all the snow and sledding are fond winter memories for me. I'd like to share those memories with my son (when he's big enough), but have no idea where the good sledding hills are near Washington D.C. or Baltimore.

Key factors:
- Must not have road or body of water right at the base (I don't want to introduce my son face-first to moving vehicles or breaking ice);
- Must have parking reasonably nearby (I don't have an ATV).

I talk to people about this all the time, and the vast majority have to confess that they have never been hunting or even live in the country. Similarly, they seem to think that a fox is a defenceless creature, try telling that to a farmer who has just found 10 dead (not eaten, just dead) lambs in a field. Foxs often kill for the sake of killing.

My question is not about sport, hunting or recreation. It is an animal behavior question. I believe I have observed seagulls hunting pigeons.

I have a Para Ordnance .40 Cal High Capacity handgun model S16.40, I just bought it and the reason I bought it was because of the looks of it and good brand name, but the most important of all I want to shoot and participate in one of the many USPSA events. I am particularly interested in participating in the open division, I just don't know if my handgun as described above can participate in the open division after I accessorize it with scope or red dot optic, compensator and extended magazine to hold 28 rounds. I appreciate you help.

I heard that you can only wear all camoflage if hunting with a bow, but if you use a rifle you must wear some orange. Is this true?
