I have a Para Ordnance .40 Cal High Capacity handgun model S16.40, I just bought it and the reason I bought it was because of the looks of it and good brand name, but the most important of all I want to shoot and participate in one of the many USPSA events. I am particularly interested in participating in the open division, I just don't know if my handgun as described above can participate in the open division after I accessorize it with scope or red dot optic, compensator and extended magazine to hold 28 rounds. I appreciate you help.

Yes, I use my .45 Para Ordnance and they don't say anything about it. In fact there are a couple of PO on the line. Check out their site http://www.uspsa.org/

I dunno, but a good aftermarket barrel is recommended if you have the cash.
