I have raw hides I would like to be utilized and I have heard some tanneries will exchange hides for gloves....is this true, and if so who will do it?

So shammys are traditionally used for cars and such because of how much h2O they can absorb, they don't scratch the vehicle, they are easy to wring oute, etc.

Is there any reason why people should not use a shammy as a towel?

The prompt for this question is that I am going on backpacking trip and a few years back I heard someone suggest packing a shammy instead of a towel.

I would get a rifle no question about it but you cant shoot it in your back yard and I live in illinois. And I dont know any ranges close to me but if there are they would be far away and I would olny be able to go like once a month and I dont know if it is worth it. But with a bow you can pretty much shoot it anywhere. So I dont know now.

Tonight I missed a nice buck and I dont know how this could have happend.... Here is what I need to know.

I sighted my Sako .243 w/ 3.5x10 Leupold scope using 65 gr Remington loads. Went hunting, but could not find the same load so I settled for 100gr Winchester loads...

This AM i had a nice buck come in and missed it at 50 yards... What could have happend? Could the load difference have been that drastic??

I'm so confused.. I did not have buck fever... help!

I would like to buy, maybe authentic, WWII German Karabiner 98K. The gun is sweet, and I just want a good rifle for hunting which is different from all my buddies.
Anyone out there with one and are willing to give it up? E-mail me at dillon_c4@hotmail.com.
Or anyone know where (sites would help) I could buy the rifle or a working replica?

Every year about 10 of my girlsfriends and I go out to all the bars "upnorth" for deer hunting opener weekend. We like to dress up in orange and have sayings on our shirt. (that have to do with deer hunting, beer drinking, and stripers). Tonight we are getting together to make our outfits. I was just wondering if anyone had some ideas on what to put on our shirts this year. We are down for just about anything...after all we a group of girls going to the female stripers. Let me know if you can come up with anything or have seen anything on t-shirts and stuff. Thanks
