Does anyone else agree with me that I should have the right to take what ever game - fish, upland, or large - during any time of the year while on MY property. By no means am I saying I currently do so, but it irritates me that the government dictates what I can do on MY PRIVATE PROPERTY. I am not referring to others on my land, but the land owner taking nutrition from his/her own land. Under current intrepretation of current laws - I'm entitled to the growth on the land - fruit, vegetables, lumber, etc - why not the game/fish? Don't get me wrong - I am in favor of, and DO support my local GC and DNR. I purchase hunting and fishing license every year- even in years when they go unused. I purchase the appropriate tags/stamps each year for all the types of fishing and hunting I enjoy, regardless of when/if used that year. This not about money. Only my rights as a land owner. Please let me know why you agree/disagree with my thinking. Thanks

Personally, I think its barbaric. Anyone who takes enjoyment out of slowly killing an animal is sick-minded.
does anyone else get annoyed by the slogan "fight prejudice, fight the ban"? what is that all about?
anyway, i'd be interested in your views and anyone 'for' fox-hunting to give a good reason why.

I wanted to buy a gun for training hunting dogs. I never trained dogs before, and was looking for one that fires blanks. Does anyone know where to get one of those and the price range for the gun and blanks? What's the best brand?

I found a boar with a large lump on its hindquarter, when the lump was puntured, it had a noxious smell and a green puss.

People in tx should know what these are. They are a type of small very ugly catfish that live in abandoned stock tanks and other areas of still water. Ive heard they were called polywogs but I dont think thats right.

I'm trying to think of gifts for my brothers. One is very much involved with hunting (deer and duck mostly) while the other is more of a fisherman (although they both fish regularly in the season). Any good ideas for either. We're from the northeast so it'd be mostly fresh water fishing (and ice fishing) possibly good knives/tools that they wouldn't buy for themselves... Any ideas??

I've got three that tie...the first happened about ten years ago, maybe a little longer...I was deer hunting on opening morning back home, and had snuck in to a little spot underneath a tree on the side of a hill. I was hunting on the ground, as is my habit, and I was sitting flat on my butt, with my legs stuck out in front of me. I heard a noise, and slowly turned my head...and out comes a herd of doe...about ten, total. They were running straight at me, and several of them passed so close that a couple of them actually jumped over my legs! They stopped in a clearing about twenty yards from me...except for the last one. She saw me, and stopped about four feet away! She couldn't smell me...cover scent...but knew something was wrong. She came closer, gave my shoulder a good sniff, and apparantly decided I was part of the tree, and rejoined the herd. I swear, though, if I had gotten a chill and shivered, I would have bumped into her! They milled around a bit, then left.

I'm looking for a place in Florida that has a nice beach, with hotels right on the beach, and one of those deep-sea charter boats where you pay per person and they provide fishing rod and bait, etc. I'm from Florida and looking for a nice place to bring my boyfriend fishing for a 1st anniversary present. Something other than St. Pete area, because we've been there before... maybe on the East coast? Also, some place where we can go to nice restaurants at night, and with a pier or something... I know this is quite specific but any advice would help! Thanks!
