I've never been, but some people say its good- it sounds nasty to me, cold, uncomfortable, and dirty!

I was wondering if the spread will be that much different on a shorter barrel than it would be with the stock 26 inch barrel. I am planning on doing some hunting and was wondering if I should still use 00 Buck shot or just Slugs since the barrel is shorter now?

how far away from houses am i required to be while goose hunting in winnebago county? i think its less for shot than slugs, but i was wondering if i could get exact numbers. ive tried searching the internet and couldn't come up with anything. if i could get the statute that would be great. thanks.

Old fully stocked military rifle.Looks to be about 6.5 mm (guesstimate) bore. Flip up backsite to 2K meters, fixed front sight.Box magazine with straight bolt handle.Marked "CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI 1915. Ser.# 355680. Sling swivels and cleaning rod.Barrel length is approx. 29".Action looks similar to Mausers I have seen before. Also has crown markings and an idealized letter symbol I can't make out too good. Please help if you are knowledgable on old (WWI-era) military rifles.I'm guessing it's Austro-Hungarian.

I'm going to buy my son in law a rifle and when I go to the caliber settings it says 300 WSM and 300 WIN, if its the same caliber then what's the difference? then on the bottom it becomes 7mm, is that the largest caliber for the gun? or is 7mm not a good choice? can some one give me the basics please?

I am not sure if I should put a scope on it or not. She has been shooting my Winchester pump .22 with a scope for a couple years, its just to heavy.

I asked a question a couple of hours ago about what *lures* would be good for a beginner to use. So far I've received *ONE* answer that actually addressed lures at all. People, I know how to put a worm on a hook - or a minnow - or a shiner - I've been doing all of that all my life *And* I have no problem with getting my *hands* dirty. (Would you say that to a male?) The question asked about lures. Lures, not worms, not crickets, not bait. Good grief can anybody read anymore? And Rapala dude - thank you *very* much - your going to get best answer just for being the first one to bother to respect the question. (Not to mention it's a really good answer, too!).

I am hanging a swing from a tree. The rope is already on the tree and I want to attach a wooden seat to it. There are two holes in the seat ready for me to tie off the rope. The only question is what knot would hold the best and is easy to do?
