I've always been a fan of Mossy Oak,but here in Vermont,my dad wears old military woodland BDU's for huntin, and I can't tell you how many times I've not seen him in the woods. If you're hunting in a hard wood forest,go with Mossy Oak...I have the new breakups because that was all I could find locally.Ideally I wanted the forest floor style..If you're hunting in an evergreen forest,I highly recommend those ol' military BDU's,or Cabela's seclusion evergreen.

I started with Realtree's Advantage early on and have primarily switched to Mossy Oak's Break-Up since it's inception. I've gotten into waterfowl more in the last 2 years and I have a coat, bibs, etc. in the Max - 4 HD from Realtree. I like that too. It's all based on your hunting location, situation (treestand vs. stalking vs. duckblind, etc.), the local cover you're trying to match where you hunt, and what your preferences are. I'd love to have a package system of coat, pants/bibs, gloves, and hat/mask for every pattern out there really. Especially for going out West and I'd like to get into wildlife photography to supply shots for books and mags. Maybe when I retire.
Try the Sierra Trading Post website once, lots of different stuff. I get most of my gear at either Cabela's, Gander Mountain, or Sportsman's Warehouse. All 3 of them are within 12 miles of my house here in WI and I like to try it all on before buying for the best fit possible. Good luck.

I've always liked Realtree Harwoods, most of my hunting is after the leaf drop so i don't want a lot of leaves in my camo pattern, realtree hardwoods has a lot of browns and greys that helps me blend in here in Ohio, but i use a lot of different patterns, another one of my favorites is Treebark camo, it was awesome for tree stand hunting.

I think camo is way overrated and overused.
My grandfather used to wear denim coveralls and a bright plaid wool shirt and red cap, and he was the best damn stalker I have ever seen. I'll bet most guys grandfathers hunted the same way.
That said, I usually get military surplus camo of whatever variety. It's cheap, very well made (esp. the European variety), has lots of pockets and does the job. Whitetail deer are not too bright, you don't need a Ghillie suit out there!

I wear Realtree hardwoods. It works so well that I"ve had a turkey come within about three feet of me.
