Please reply only if you know from experience...I am not looking for something trendy. I am looking for something durable, waterproof, and that can withstand (and keep me from falling) rocks, eroded hills/mountains, mud, etc. Thanks for any advice!

hunting and fishing items. Someone who knows how to make a variety of things, but not looking for someone who is already involved in a coorporation. Does anyone know where I can find someone like this?

I have to travel to an airgunning event later this year by public transport. I just wanted to clarify the legality and rules of carrying an air-rifle from A to B.

My rifle is Daystate Harrier X .22 160-bar with silencer and scope and I have a 'Dosko Sport Hard Rifle Case' which has four lockable points and is usually carried with at least one locked padlock. Is this adequate for carrying in public?

I will also be carrying pellets and an air-rifle pump. Can these be carried together, with the rifle, without contravening any laws?

I usually travel by car but am unable to for this event.

Sensible answers only please...

Would you carry rifle, shotgun, pistol? What caliber(s)? What factors would influence your choices (weight of gun/ammo for example)?

The gun was handed down to my father from his father to me. It's atleast from 1950-1960. It is in great condition all the serial numbers match. I am not a typical gun owner and can't find the price value-- the sentimental value is extreme and the gun is not going to be sold however it would be nice to have the information on approximate value to pass on with my children.

I dont want to spend alot more than around 550-600. I preferably want an autoloader but pumps will work too. I was looking at the browning BPS hunter and the stoeger model 2000 but if you have any other good suggestions let me know.

How many of you would rather stay at camp and cook dinner for the other hunters instead of hunting? I like to go in a couple of hours early and help with dinner so the other hunters can eat and relax.

the details are very important and people often give an incorrect answer because they were confused and didnt read the details.
