The gun was handed down to my father from his father to me. It's atleast from 1950-1960. It is in great condition all the serial numbers match. I am not a typical gun owner and can't find the price value-- the sentimental value is extreme and the gun is not going to be sold however it would be nice to have the information on approximate value to pass on with my children.

The serial # on your Savage would indicate that it is definitely post 1950 production, if it were before 1950 I could tell you the exact year.
Savage made many different variations of the Model 99 and yours could be one at least 6. For this reason , I can only give you a ballpark estimate as to value. You also describe it as being in "great condition"
.
High side.....$700 if one of the more desirable variations.
Low side......$300 if one of the less desirable variations.

These #'s are assuming 95% condition.

you can go to gunbroker.com and ask there or go to several different gun shops and check with them. you could also go to a gun show and see what others like it may be going for.
