I know that sounds stupid but i think it would be pretty fun. Albeit very dangerous, but i think it would be cool!

It depends, if your fishing in your neighbors pool, it probably is.

Shotguns aren't very good choice because they scare away any fish in the area, and the pellets won't penetrate the water beyond 3 feet.

I'll go with "Yes" for $200.

I'm thinking it's a form of poaching, not to mention very dangerous.

It is only illegal if your get caught, just like shocking the water or using explosive ordinance.

99.999% likely yes..Most states have requirments howto catch fish and I bet shotgunning is not one of them. LOL

Yes it is illegal. And dumb as dirt too.
A conservation officer has more power than other law enforcement personnel -- he/she can cite you, arrest you, have your tackle confiscated, and maybe even your car.

The pellets will essentially be destroyed when they hit the water, so it won't work very well.

yes but you can use a car battery and shock the fish to death, and it is much quieter. just dont kill yourself bill dance
