the iver johnson model 36 champion single barrel shotgun in a .410 caliber was introduced in 1916. you will need the serial number to determine what year after that it was made. you can email me with that serial number and i may be able to find out for you or you can just ask your local gunsmith.

The shotgun should have a serial number on the receiver. This can usually be equated to a production year. All firearms are required to have numbers after 1968. Most manufacturers used serial numbers long before that but not always, especially on smaller shotguns. Go to Google, use Iver Johnson shotgun, and see what returns you get. There are Iver Johnson collectors out there that maybe be able to help you. I think Iver Johnson is now owned by New England Firearms (NEF).
