I am about 5 foot 5 inches. I started a few months ago and I am 13. I am getting the skills down really fast and I was wondering if you think I am too tall for gymnastics. I really want to compete and possibly go to college gymnastics. I am willing to work very hard and I love the sport. My coach said I would be about a level 5.

I'm horrible at sports, all of them, i've never actually played any sport except in gym...but i never play i just would talk with friends, but now i want to learn soccer. If i joined some soccer team in the community some where, would i be put with the 3 year olds, bc where i live everyone learned to play soccer when they were like 3. Also is it 2 late to learn??

I mean, now Marion Jones is (ahem) coming clean? Okay, what's next? Are we going to find out that CHEERLEADERS are juicing (among other enhancements)? What has the sports world come to, people? Is nothing in sports pure anymore? If it's not juicing, it's cheating. If it's not cheating, it's gambling. If it's not gambling it's rigging, and so on and so on.

The question is, have the past 25 years and even beyond in sports been a lie, a joke, a scam, all of it? WTF?

All in the Q Really.
The world really is a small place now.
A person can be born in one country, to parents who can be from two others & grandparents from a completley different 4.
Then they emmigrate somewhere else !!!
By most sports rules you can play for your country of birth, country of residence or parents/ grandparents counrty of birth.
If you have played for country A should you then for whatever reason (most common emmigration/ residency) then be allowed to play for B?
Surely representing your country should not be for personal success or glory - but pride, passion & 101% heart "for your country & the jersey" where you shed a tear whilst singing yor anthem.
Another point - Can a multi national player really be impartial?

The whole idea of cheerleading is to lead cheers (for people cheering for the actual sport or athletic events where the cheerleaders are appearing). I think somewhere along the way, things got skewed. Agree?

ive been going to a new school for a while and cheerleading tryouts are just around the corner. i just found out this chick (that i totally do not like) is trying out. the reason why dont like her is because of the horrible rumors she spreads around about me. cheerleading is all about teamwork but i cannot work with her (knowing what she might do, and i really dont want to get in a fight) but i also love cheerleading!!! what should i do??

I was wondering what you guys think of sports uniforms. I think tennis uniforms now look good, and volleyball uniforms too. I'm in Australia, and I play netball. Here are some pics of me in action:
http://img25.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=77664_netball18_122_770lo.jpg and http://img159.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=77669_netball22_122_1170lo.jpg What do you think of our uniform?
I've been told the skirts are a bit short, which I didn't realise, because that's just the usual uniform for netball here in Australia. Does anyone play netball? What is your uniform?
