That is impossible to answer.
If a person does not care to watch or participate in that sport, then the best in that one would not be of any interest.
Not everyone likes the same sports, and not everyone likes the same team/competitor because if they did would only be one, and then you you would not have any more competitors.
Now, wouldn't that be boring?
