I am leaving for cheerleader camp in two weeks. I was selected for the varsity cheerleaders right at the end of school. I like the other juniors on the team am being hazed. It is tradition and I am cool with it but the senior "Master" I have is mean. The last day of school she made me give her a foot massage. Some of the other seniors saw me give her one and they began joking about how that would be great each day after camp practice.

I want to fit in and will do this, but this seems a bit mean. I am not sure I want to massage someone's feet after practice. Has this happened to anyone else?

I need your advice about noise reduction when sleeping. I moved to New York city recently and live at a place in the downtown Manhattan. The place is excellent in terms of transportation and city life etc. The bad side is the noise in the evenings. My room faces an extremely busy street directly and there are many cars back and forth even after mid-night. My rough estimate is that the only period when the traffic becomes slightly quieter is from 3:00am - 6:00am in the morning. Even worse, there is many pubs and clubs around. And directly beneath me is a pizza shop and it likes to play hard rock and roll with disco flavors. I tried to talk with the shop owner many times, but he seems doesn't care about police and fine, etc. The pizza shop plays the hard rock and roll for the whole night and tends to increase the volume after mid-night. Taking all the noise sources into account, there is zero time that the place is quiet. I've bought rubber ear plugs and it helped a bit but not too much.

In England we have this ridiculous thing going on of people supporting who ever they want, the days of supporting your local team is well and truly over. for example in england Man United are the most supported team by some clear difference but in Manchester where they are based they are second behind there rivals Man city by a large margin, My local team is west ham based in east london, out of my 11 close mates me and 1 more person supports them the rest either support Man U or Liverpool teams which are some 170 miles away and they are never can or intend to go watch them live. Is this the same in the States or is this growing trend ther aswell?

I am doing a one week cheerleading camp which I have never done before, and I'm really really sore when I come home, even though we cooled down and stretched out to get rid of the soreness before we left camp. We do cheers, motions, jumps, and stunting with only 3 five-minute breaks for 4 hours, and we're all really really sore, even after warming up and stretching out for 30 minutes. It's hard for us to walk and it's affecting my toe touches and herkies. Why am I still sore? Is there anything I can do to decrease my soreness before tomorrow so that I can perform full out and get my backhandspring down before camp is over?

BTW, there's 3 days left of camp.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have posted this in Health and Fitness but I thought I might get more answers in this area.

Yesterday I asked a question about pitchers apologizing when they hit batters and most of the answers implied that apologizing was a sign of weakness.
Given that, and the outrageous behavior exhibited by some athletes in other sports, and the fact that some fans go to games hoping fights will break out, has winning at all costs become the credo in professional sports today? Do fans really look down on players who try to maintain some sense of honor and who behave like gentlemen? Or do they prefer athletes who behave badly of and off the court, rink, or field? Any thoughts?

It's about time a great and talented racer went into racing and at last Lewis is here! What i even like about him more is that finally i've found a famous carribean from Grenada, my country!!! Yes Lewis Hamilton has his descent from Grenada in the West Indies - I couldn't believe it when i heard about it. I wish Lewis the best of luck. ( and don't worry i know he is representing Britain which is all good but i thought i talk about his descent!) Cool isn't it?
