I train in kickboxing and jujitsu and fight MMA....I always have bruises all over the place. I have a lot of weddings and other occasions where I need to wear a dress...does anyone have any suggestions for how to get rid of them faster?? I'm tired of the looks I get...I'm pretty sure people think I get beat up at home. It's not that attractive, either. Help!

You know the old idiom about a martial artist needing to register his/her deadly hands and/or feet?
Along those lines...do you think the police would be more likely to charge you if they knew you held a ranking in a martial art?

Hi guys, I'm a capoeirista of about a year now, but I'm from a Regional school. However, I'm moving to Manhattan in 2 weeks and I want to study with Mestre Joao Grande. With that in mind, I have 2 Angola questions. First, what is the signifigance of wearing a cap while you play? It seems that only the mestres wear them, other time I see younger students wear black ones, are there any rules or reason? Second, what role do acrobatics play in Angola? Obviously there aren't flips, but in Youtube videos I've seen players do a lot of handstands, even some open cartwheels (as opposed to closed ones) and one time a macacao! Are these taught or are they just Regionalistas playing an Angola roda?

Alright i have debated over the last few months on what martial art to take. I am a fighter at heart but would like to be sufficient at fighting. I want to be able to brawl, street fight and competition fight. Now i know martial arts is supposed to teach self descripline, but so what. I took Tae Kwon Doe. Biggest waste of money in my opinion. What martial arts would fit street fighting/competition fighting. Im leaning towards Muay Thai

I used to do KUng Fu but then i found out that the classes were a rip off so now i want to switch back to Japanese martial arts.

I've been doing a lot of research on Aikido, which caught my attention a week ago, and i seem to have fallen in love with the art and it's priciples of peace, but there are still things that i would like to know about it.

First off, i've heard that it's effective against multible attackers, all weapons, and any martial arts style, is this true? I have noticed that since it's 100% defence without hurting the attacker, it can be used easily against any martial art.

Well, thank you in advance for all your help yall, and please be truthful aight, peace.

I've been watching a few videos on it and i'm quite impressed. However, I've noticed that in the displays the person's attack being reversed is flipping his/herself on purpose to avoid getting hurt. So i was wondering in a real situation would the attacker's arm actually break since they would not flip on purpose or does it really and work they do flip?

I'm pretty sure, but I want to be positive: Is it or is it not correct to call Tae Kwon Do Karate? I don't think it is, because Karate is from Okinawa and Tae Kwon Do is from Korea. Am I right, or am I right?

Thanks in advance,
Yours truly =D

I spent a year taking Jujitsu, then quit. The one thing I couldn't get past was who complicated it was. Joint locks are fine; however, you have to be able to manipulate someone into position in order to apply them. Any Jujitsu people out there? What do you think?
