I think so.
People talk about him as if he's a god.
Yeah, he won against few great fighters, but he lost against no-named opponents.
His fighting record is not that great either!
15-8...

I recently moved to an area that is full of ITF point style fighters. My problem is that I have trained for 3 1/2 years in WTF, and I want to stick with that style. Nothing against ITF, it's just not for me. But the place that is closest (WTF style) reeks of business first. The closest place after this one is an hour away. A little farther and I could train in the Houston area with the Lopez group. I wouldn't be allowed to compete while there, because "it's selfish to use your training" for competetion. Reality is that a majority of the students look like they would get killed. So that puts me in a bit of a pickle; train there until I find a better fit, or just tough it out for a few more months. I really need a school though so I can prepare to compete next year. Thanks for any help!

I've studied Shuai Chiao for a while and was interested in a more striking-focused form of fighting. I was wondering where I could train in the Columbus area and what the cost was for that.

If the answer is yes, please also state:

1. your hourly rate for be for dishing out "the good news"
2. the total cost for a continuous 10 hour beating (I'll allow an hourly toilet break but I won't pay for lunch)

Is it possible to effectively preform a Spock shock against someone? My friend tries it on me at the most random times, and all he suceeds in doing is annoying me! I've heard police use a similar move against rampaging drunks, but that's only from one source! So would it really work? Thanks!

And also do you believe that in competitions those two styles tend to be identical?

People say Aikido is a "soft" martial art! However Aikido teachs you how to cripple people with locks, throws, submissions AND defend against knive attacks, multiple defenders etc! So HOW IS BREAKING SOMEONES ARM A "SOFT" STYLE OF FIGHTING ! Is it because Aikido teachs mostly defense? REMEMBER the old saying " A good defense is a good offense!" Personally I believe MMA is the best way to train however I don't understand why people bash Aikido!?

GIVE ME UNBIASED OPINIONS PLEASE!

I am a 15 year old Indonesian , the first&only martial art i learned is the Tae Kwon Do. I quit taking TKD lessons after getting the blue stripe belt because i find it unsuitable for my physical conditions because it focuses on brute strength, i like martial arts that's more defensive and softer movements so what martial arts that suits me well ?

I really want to learn karate but all the karate classes are for little kids at this town. I am 14 and turning 15 next month. My parents don't say anything. I try talking to them except they don't listen. I really want to learn how.

I noticed that Purple blue and green are always in the same division at open tournaments which is ok...most of the time. Because there are alot of TKD schools that use the same system along with the Kenpo systems in terms of rank. However anyone that is familiar with Traditional Japanese Karate systems and the Ranking system knows that Purple and green belts should probably not be in the intermediate division especially the purple belts at these open tournaments, Purple and green belt alot of times with these systems are the rank before brown.

Am I the only one that even when I was an underbelt felt like I was doing something unfair by sparring and competing kata/forms with the TKD Purple belts and Green belts? In Karate Purple and Green is the Equivalent to Red belt and a TKD brown belt...Shouldn't these kids be in the advanced division!? I saw a TKD green belt go up against a Goju-Ryu Purple belt and the green belt at this tournament did not stand a chance!

ok so i'm kind of low belt ranking. most of the people in my dojo are high belt and some kick their belt rank while some kick not up to the standards. i have no problem with it. but it's just that everyone judges everyone by their belt color and height and how strong they look. i'm short, yellow belt, and look weak, even though i'm actually pretty strong.
what do higher belt people think of lower ranking belts?
do they look down on them?

My friend Cody is able to hurt ( although I provoke him sometimes) me but he takes care to not injure me horrbily. He's a skater and and has very hard muscles and he's able to make me fall to my knees alot of times. I want to know how can I stop him without kicking him in the nuts. When I do that he picks me up and drops me onto the floor. I'm very strong and I mostly win in fights but when I fight him he basically kicks my A*s. Please help and by the way he's 17 and I'm 13. I though it might help to know how old we are.

It tends to work. And who ever said that a fight is fair. Do you use this tenchnique? I fended off an angry attacker solely by a "nut shot"......I plan to keep using this technique.

i checked all the links out for them both and I have to agree a 70% rating is just not possible. If the other users says he told the other users and they have verified he did that his 43 votes were to bring you out into the opening then it worked. Good for him, his story checks, your's does not. Any other thoughts from people? I do not want to kick a dead horse but I missed answering the question being out of town. thanks all. Id hate to think I was not reading answers as best that are not really best due to ballot stuffing.

I have a problem when I'm sparring.
When I spar, it feels like all the training I did is going down the drain. I feel like I'm not using too much of what I learned and feel like just getting hit or running in and blindly punching some one.
How can I actually get good?
It really frustrates me when I'm sparring because the time I've spent training feels useless.
Help me!
