My friend Cody is able to hurt ( although I provoke him sometimes) me but he takes care to not injure me horrbily. He's a skater and and has very hard muscles and he's able to make me fall to my knees alot of times. I want to know how can I stop him without kicking him in the nuts. When I do that he picks me up and drops me onto the floor. I'm very strong and I mostly win in fights but when I fight him he basically kicks my A*s. Please help and by the way he's 17 and I'm 13. I though it might help to know how old we are.

He's my closest guy friend and we have known each other for two years. We always joke around and play with each other. We love playing prank on each other. So it's not so sad that he's picking on me.He loves doing that and I do it back. We have a close relationship as friends and my family loves him. He's friends with my dad O.o

Aaand he's very hot. haha

Frankly, without training, I think the only safe way to "play-fight" with someone is to use your strength. (That's why play-wrestling is so popular among boys/men.)
Unless you know wrestling, judo, brazilian jiu jitsu, or some other sports grappling system, you won't have a way to safely "fight" your friend.

That being said, teenage boys are not known for their conventional wisdom. I have seen many people do stupid, destructive things, and the majority of them were boys/young men.

I shared a similar relationship with my brother; we used to play-fight all the time when we were younger. He is almost 2 years older than I am, and he's always been bigger and heavier.

For the most part, I stopped play-fighting with him a long time ago. I didn't mind playing rough, but geez, he just didn't use his common sense. There are certain things you don't do when you're play-fighting (eg., groin shots) because you don't want to hurt them badly.

Although my brother knew that I was smaller and weaker, he just could not seem to get that what might not hurt him has a worse effect on me.
When playfighting, he has hit me repeatedly in the head, he's dropped me headfirst on the floor, he's twisted my wrist-- HARD-- among other things. And needless to say, I always lost-- often quite badly.
And then he wonders why I don't like play-fighting with him anymore. o_O

That is the main reason why I'm a little concerned about your situation. Cody may be a great friend, but he may not fully understand that you *are* smaller and weaker than he is, and he may end up really hurting you someday.
I could be wrong; I don't know him personally. But I would advise both of you to please be careful. Never forget that there is a huge size/weight/strength disparity between the two of you.

It sounds like you need to not provoke him and find some friends closer to your own age. Nobody likes being provoked per say and the age difference does not excuse you from provoking him. At the same time the fact that he is 17 tells me that maybe he has some issues with it and maybe next time he does more than just pick you up and drop you. Perhaps he values your friendship enough or with respect to the age difference he does not want to really hurt you-so why provoke him. The other thing here is that he takes care to not injure you horribly but what if that all of a sudden changes. Ask him about it and see what he says but generally those that play with fire usually get burned sooner or later.

Call it what you like he sounds like a total jerk. If you are friends than you should be able to tell him to stop. If he does not stop when you ask you should get rid of him as a friend.

If you were my kid and a 17 year old was doing that he would have big problems. Your dad needs to step in and you need to tell him.

That's pretty sad that a 17 year old has to pick on a 13 year old.
