Is it possible to effectively preform a Spock shock against someone? My friend tries it on me at the most random times, and all he suceeds in doing is annoying me! I've heard police use a similar move against rampaging drunks, but that's only from one source! So would it really work? Thanks!

Oh, sorry! In case you don't know, a spock shock's when you pinch some nerve on the shoulder and knock a person out, like Mr. Spock does in Star Trek!

If the right location between the collar bone and the shoulder
is found, it immobilizes the person. (It does not however
make the person pass out!)
The move (do not try this at home) that is capable of making a person pass out is a neck or back jam--this can cause serious injury that is sometimes not reversible., and can also cause spinal damage. Equal force is placed on both
shoulders from behind, when enough weight is used,
the victim passes out.
(A large cat such as a domestic tiger is known to do this when wanting attention, or wanting to play, by landing his front two paws, at the same time, onto both of a persons shoulders from behind.)

It may be possible.... but not probable some pressure points can cause enough pain to render some people unconscious, although different people can handle different levels of pain, and through proper training, the level of pain you can endure will minimize if not delete the effectiveness of pressure points. They do have other practical uses, to alleviate other pains. And sure are fun to play with your friends who have no training, but to think there is a magic button you can press to incapacitate someone is ludicrous (cept fer da eyeball, and dont try that at home)

Sorry, but in order for the "Vulcan nerve pinch" to work, you need to have pointy ears and an ability to mindmeld. Otherwise, you'll just annoy whoever it is you are trying it on. You're better off training how to use a Klingon "Bat' leth", at least you can take a guy's head off with one of those : P

yes, you can. if you use a taser.
see a little known fact that even trekkies don't like to admit is that lenoard nimoy had his fingers replaced with taser guns in order to get this to work right.
This is also why every "lenoard nimoy sings the blues" album has been total crap, see the fingers keep getting in the way of his guitar strings.

It only works if you are from the planet Vulcan, have pointy ears, and only see things logically. In other words no, it doesn't work.
