Century has a very good free standing bag with a fairly low base that they call the XXL Wavemaster. My hard core students kick the plastic base to help toughen their shins some and the base is low enough that you can kick over it and still kick fairly low as if you were kicking to the lower thigh. We also use just a regular bag that sits on the ground and is held by someone by leaning on top of it for low calf kicks and low side kicks to the knee and shin for self-defense training also.

I really dont know any good standing bags but if your going to
invest in a bag i would suggest a banana bag or any thai bag
but make sure its filled because it is freaking hard to fill them yourself. Also leather ones are a bit more expensive but they will last in the long run!!
