I've experienced seeing many white people fighting. I've witnessed some white guy fighting a black guy and the white guy straight got his *** knocked out by one-two punches. I've witnessed another white guy fighting a black guy (he might've been mexican, I couldn't tell) and one punch ... BOOM. he got knocked out. he couldn't counter any of that guy's moves. I've also experienced a white guy fighting some asian guy and the asian guy went Bruce Lee on his *** (like no joke) and he couldn't get up. Can white people fight?

I’m into capoeira and have trained for over a year. And I’m starting to train on doing flips. Only problem is that I can not yet do the full body flips (over the full length of the body) as the higher grades do. The problem is mostly due to a lack of muscle power. I’d like some tips from gymnasts, capoeirista and other martial artists for muscle or other excercises I can do to improve this. Preferably stuff I can do at home and without using too much equipment.

Everyone tells him as a great fighter but whom the best he defeated upto now.Big nog or cro cop.Do you guys really think that big nog is very hard for other heavyweights .The guy has a bit more stamina and nothing more. His victory over crocop wasnt by dominating him .and morever now crocop is not just the contendor for heavyweight title .why still fedor is the #1in the eyes of many/

Our main instructor had to cancel last night, so one of the senior students taught the class. I'd worked with this guy before. I train in aikido, by the way.

Usually, we do a lot of exercises and our main instructor doesn't really seem to care to connect it all together. We do learn a lot of stuff with him, but sometimes I wonder how it all fits. I've got to admit whatever he's doing, he knows what he's doing, because then we get to the more complex stuff and somehow, we know what to do by just putting all of these bits together and I kind of go: Oh, O.K., now I get it! But for long periods of time, we do these exercises and sometimes I have to wonder: What's this all about?

The other instructor, which I've had a chance to train with a lot in the past is a sandan and what he does is he'll just go right through the technique over and over again and he'll adjust the students as he goes along and by the time class is over, we've only gone through one thing, but we can do it...

Ok so my brown belt karate testt is this saturday and I'm hella freaked out about it. First off its gonna be like 4 1/2-5 hours long. Its gonna be intense condititoning, pushups running etc. and then forms and techniques. Im scared to death pretty much. I don't think i can handle thst much. I was very relieved howevever on founding out that it was not 7 hours long. Anyway... I have my forms down pretty well, except for I'm totally spaced out on my techniques. I should know 1-10, and I only have like 1-5 commited to memory. Well they'll go over it during the test, but I am TERRIBLE at retaining new information thtatt fast. I'll probably gett yelled at and stuff. That and the intetnse conditioning is what I'm really afriad of. Damn, you don't know how much I was this to be over already. Should I eat breakfast? It startst at 9 am and i dont wanna have to worry about throwing up. But yeah.. any advice on my situation? And I'm going to a concert so is bed by like 12 ok? thx

It's like... you jump, your body is like horizontal, you kick your opponent 3 or more times, while alternating feet, then land.. or fall.. I don't remember.

I've heard martial artists say that fights are as much as 50% circumstance. Circumstance meaning things like location, sucker punches, etc..
What do you think?

I'm thinking of starting martial arts and was wondering if someone could provide suggestions for my situation. I'm a tall and thin teenager, in good physical condition and quite motivated. For now, the most time I could dedicate to it would be two nights of practice a week with some time spent at home. I'm pretty sure I would either like to study a stand-up or ground fighting style. I wouldn't like it to be too high impact, although I would like some form of contact to be involved. My goals with this are increased fitness, self-discipline and self-defense skills. Ideally, I would like an asian martial-art, for some reason this appeals to me. Finally, nothing too obscure, as I may not be able to find a school for it. All answers appreciated, please back up your responses to some degree.

I have seen training a fighting style called "cheenadi" which is a local form of martial arts where
I live(Sri Lanka.. a south Asian country) by some of the villege boys and the question is
that when training this style they used to freely fight like in a death match but with
more than two opponents at least. For example if I am going to fight, then I should get
more than or at least two opponents to fight with. As I did a small background reading,
this style is a very ancient style of fighting used by the worriors in their history.
I should say that this is a very bruital form of fighting which does not have any rules for trainign
and with lot of grapling, stricking and ground fighting techniques. I just want to know whether it is more effective to
train like them ?(with more than one opponent like in Boxing or Karate).
The other thing is that these local groups do not teach anyone
who is an outsider to them and I cant get much detail from them.

GSP beats Hughes
and then GSP beats Serra
which makes Serra v Hughes possible
and then Hughes beats Serra
and Serra moves down to 155 and Hughes retires

Does it sound likely?
