I bet on a horse, caused I liked its name
I should of known, better it ended in lame
He looked pretty good, as he jogged around
A really big ticket, I’ve surely found

He got to the gate, with the tip of his nose
He looked pretty strong, like striking a pose
Then they started to run, around that racetrack
He fell to the rear, and followed the pack

I yelled to the horse, to get up and go
But he has one speed, and that’s mighty slow
Then he started to run, he started to pass
It sure lasted briefly, he ran out of gas

My knees started shaking, I started to sweat
Then one guy beside me, asked who I bet
I told him the name, sipping beer from a glass
He said you poor fella, he’s way up in class

Oh what the hell, I’ll bet one more race
But this time I’ll bet him, to win and to place
But this could be easy, it could be a blast
If only they let me, bet him for last

I just bought a new horse, 17'2 hands, gray/white, a boy. His show name is Unikue, unique with a k. Its ok, and its bad luck to change his name, but I feel he needs a barn name, something more simple maybe. Do you have any suggestions?

I want to see what people think as I have a fair idea as to which horse that was! Not 'top weight and LOST the race, 'top weight and WON the race'.

My horse andie had to be put down last week after a severe injury. He got his hoof caught in the gate on his paddock and struggled all night. When I came out the next day I found him standing in the field on three legs. He ripped his right fore hoof off, we found his hoof later. We had to put him down. Now the problem is he was my 5 yr olds horse. We haven't told her yet that he is dead, we keep telling her he is in the field when we go to the ranch. How can we tell her what happened?

I would have loved to have seen Man O' War and Secretariat go head to head. Or perhaps Ruffian against Personal Ensign?

You win for the right selection but add a second selection, as the tie-breaker will be whoever gets the second worst too.

I've been riding horses for about 6 years, and I just got this new Polish warm-blood. He's 16'2 hands. But he doesn't seem to like me or feel comfortable with me, not like with my other horses. I don't know how to win him over, I've tried everything. Anyone have any suggestions?

I was told last night that it is illegal to have have sex with a women for one hour after she has been horse riding as she has the legal right to claim she has been raped. Is this true or just an old wives tale?. Id like to know as my girlfriend rides horses and she is very fruity after a couple of hours in the saddle!!!!
