I try to get out there at least a few times a year, Arcadia is a beautiful place to have a racetrack and when you look out over the track, and see them coming off the hill on the turf, with the mountains in the background...you know its a special place, nothing at all like Hollywood Park...but if you really want to see something festive in racing...get out to Del Mar for opening day, its like the biggest party youve ever seen at a racetrack...or catch the late friday races there with the live concerts afterwards...

I love it too. If you haven't been there in some time, it's a bit different. The beauty remains, but the atmosphere has dampened a bit. If it's not one of the few big race days, the crowd is pretty dismal. Much less on track excitement as internet and off track betting have made it more convenient to watch on a screen than seeing the ponies in person. I much prefer to hear and see the real thing.

Yea. I am not a fan of horse racing though even though I love to ride.
