about a Simon Gagne for Jerome Iginla trade? The Philly papers have said now and then that sources around the league are rumoring about it. Just wondering what's going on in your neck of the league. Thanks.

My husband and I rented the movie Slapshot last night. I thought it was ridiculous. There were a couple of parts that were funny, but in my opinion it was the WORST hockey movie ever made. I'm not too big on slapstick comedy. I find it stupid. Not only was the movie bad for that reason, but I didn't care about or respect any of the players. It's not funny to see a player skating by the goalie and tripping him. Now, if the opposing team was screwing with them and trying to hurt their players I would have loved to see someone get their butt kicked. I could go on, but I owuld like to know your opinions on this movie and if anyone agreees with me that it was an awful movie that doensn't seem to know much about "true" hockey. Last, but not least the coach was also a player on the team?

It's quite apparent after talking to some people (particularly Mr. Yahoo) that I have ruffled some feathers in the Sabres Fan-camp.
1st of all - I didn't know that you folks were new to Hockey.
2 - I forgot about the new feminization of the sport.
3 - I didn't know that you were all new converts from the figure-skating category.

John <----big fat poopoohead!
I mean..... Look at ME!!! I proudly wear a losing team's colors and vowed-to until the day I die. What the hell kind of fan am I? You should all give me a big "thumbs-down" and hurt my feelings.... or better-yet... report me the Yahoo-principal! I deserve it!

I am now a new Sabres fan... / I even bought a new miniature poodle and named the whiny-little-thing "Sabre" in honor of all my new friends here at Yahoo-Answers.

So anyway...... Will all of you band-wagon-hopping Sabres fan please accept my apology? I never ever meant to make anyone cry.

Love always...

like back in the 80's i did like players like Mats Nazlund of the Habs he was like 5'6 and 160 lbs but he was a 100 points scorer and another player like Theo Fleury very small but big heart and never gives up. these are some of the players that really had to push hard cause of their sizes. and don't bring up Fleury problems will all know.

So next year my nephew will be in high school Hockey. My brother just heard about an incident in the locker room in which a freshmen player was held down while other players put their private parts on his face. My brother is pretty up set, other people seem to think kids will be kids. Is this type of behavior normal, acceptable?

I know it varies due to how many playoff games are actually played, etc., but could you give me an estimate on when the game normally is? Or when the championship playoff games start?
