So next year my nephew will be in high school Hockey. My brother just heard about an incident in the locker room in which a freshmen player was held down while other players put their private parts on his face. My brother is pretty up set, other people seem to think kids will be kids. Is this type of behavior normal, acceptable?

For the record I told him hockey was a bad thing to get involved in from the go. I remember what those clowns we're like.

No it has never been acceptable. Kids will be kids and they are generally cruel especially in groups. Incidents like these should be reported and addressed by faculty and management at schools. I am from the era when hazing was permitted (or should I say ignored). It was no fun for me, and I have always despised active participants in this type hazing. If you allow just a little, no one seems to know where to stop to keep the situation from getting out of hand.

A blanket celebration for the ringleader (six carry, 2 beat) have been given 'em to bypass to the Co. Commander and confess. Dishonorable Discharges for all of 'em. that's not hazing, nevertheless - that's not putting up with bullshit. heavily - enlist. bypass by way of uncomplicated. Then come back and spot in case you wanna ask that dumbshit question returned. fool.

That is ASSAULT! Those young men should be arrested and charged.

P.S.--> If those young men would have held down a girl and placed their penis' on her face-- you know darn well all kinds of crap would have hit the fan!! The boys would probably have been expelled, criminally charged and kicked off the hockey team.

Now,.....why is it ok for them to treat another male like this,...is the humiliation and violation any less? You brother should be concerned.

No hazing at all should be allowed. But for you to say he shouldn't get involved with hockey because of hazing is off-line, you think it doesn't happen in other sports?!? Think again.

Making the hazed do something idiotic or stupid
(like the old dog-poop-in-a-flaming-bag stuff): OK
Something degrading: NO. That private parts stunt is degrading.

Would that be "normal and acceptable" if a group of men did it to a woman?

You must think so to even ask that question about it being done to kids.
