Help me understand something that is probably basic to you soccerheads.

Of what importance is the Concacaf Gold Cup to the World Cup Qualifiers?

In other words, how does winning the Concacaf Gold Cup benefit a team when it comes to the World Cup Qualifiers- or does it at all?

i feel really sorry for shefield united fans as west ham was let off lightly with a 5.5m fine..

Inzaghi scored important goals in EURO 2004 qualifying but Trapattoni didn't call him up for the final tournament. Instead choosing strikers like Di Vaio and Corradi. Lippi probably only chose to include Pippo cause he's a fan favorite and he didn't wanna deal with criticism. I hear they had problems with eachother at Juve. Lippi only used him in the last 25 minutes against an already beaten Czech Rep. team. Even when he scored Lippi didn't seem impressed and Gattuso said something to Marcelo about Pippo which didn't please him. Come on. Laquinta? It seems to me like Inzaghi's unappreciated. Which is why it is great that he put 2 in the goal at the UCL Final.

All the bad fighters come from other countries such as Canada, Brazil and the UK. Chuck Liddell is the best fighter in the world. We rule like every sport that is popular here. In tennis Americans wins all the time. Andy Roddick is the best player in the world. Rugby, cricket, and golf arent mainstream sports here.
