Football (American) - October 2007

How do you guys think the Giants will do against the Falcons. I have not seen a Falcons games this season. Where I live they either show Cowboys (mostly) and Saints game. I have P. Burress and Jacobs on my fantasy team ans I need them to play well.

While we've talked about the upsets and victories, what 3 teams this year (to you) are the biggest disappointments in college football?


Mine top 3 are:

1. Arkansas - Having McFadden & Jones apparently equals mediocrity. Having a defense that can't stop the forward pass equals disaster.

2. Louisville - Apparently an experienced QB & a decent offensive line account for nothing. Losing to Syracuse & Utah speaks volumes.

3. Rice - With a WR (Jarrett Dillard) often compared to Randy Moss, and a QB (Chase Clement) coming off a 2006 campaign with 21 TDs & 5 INTs, you'd think the Owls might do well. Losing to Nichols State, Baylor, & Houston coupled with a coach who (in the Southern Mississippi game) passed on kicking a field goal to extend the lead before halftime shows that Rice can't capitalize on last year's momentum.

ATTENTION RAIDER NATION: You had all of last week to brag about your Raidres and beat your chest about being #1 in the AFC West. Given your record of 17-51 over the last 4 seasons I would take any sense of victory you can get at this point. But just like that you went from #1 to #4 after the Chargers beat you.....AGAIN! Now I'm not here to rub it in your face because the Raiders are the least of our worries right now. But will you all please shut up now? You've still got a LONG way to go!

#1 rated defense giving up 41 points to Kentucky? Come on. Are we serious? Yes, Kentucky has a high powered offense when they play Louisville, Kent St, or FAU, but if LSU (had) the #1 defense in the country they could have kept Kentucky to under 30 points, ATLEAST! Right?

So how can it be that colt brennan (hawaii QB) is in the heisman race and graham harrell (Texas Tech QB) is not? it's rediculous...yes Tech has a loss but has a way tougher schedule than Hawaii does and Harrell has thrown 31 TOUCHDOWN PASSES!!!! while Brennan has thrown 20. and Harrell has thrown only 3 interceptions while Brennan has thrown 10. does that make sense to anyone? i mean i dont know if Harrell deserves the Heisman but Brennan? he shouldn't even be on that list!

Granted every team steals signals, stealing signals is NOT against the rules BUT video taping the other teams sideline to steal signals IS against the rules and it is CHEATING. So why would someone say that if you call the Patriots cheaters your not a real football fan?

I haven't played football as yet but i am getting ready to start competitively.I have never played a real game, just backyard football with my friends. I am 15 and i am 6-4 198 pounds. i can throw a football so QB is a option, im not fast enough to play WR, do you think i am big enough to play OL, i was personally thinking TE. I have good hands and when play with friends i am the goto guy when needing short yards.

Give Me your opinion of what position you think i should play?
