This isnt about championships or stats, just pure arm strength, ie. highest velocity, longest long ball, etc.
This is timely because Jemarcus Russell of LSU could easily make this list.
My list.
1. John Elway: The standard by which all measured. Coming out of Stanford, Elway threw bullets 60 yards on the run, had unlimited range on the deep ball and mangled his receivers' hands on medium routes.
2. Steve Bartkowski: In the late 1970s at Cal, Bartkowski famously threw the ball 100 yards.
3. Doug Williams: Nobody threw a prettier deep ball.
4. Brett Favre: In the mid-1990s, this guy moved and fired and could hit any point on the field. Just like Elway, minus a few miles per hour on the fastball.
5. Michael Vick: Tough call. On some throws, he looks like a lefthanded Elway, with unrivaled velocity and distance. But often his passes flutter. Small hands and an inconsistent release point, when it all clicks he can gun it.
Others worth mention: R Cunningham, J George, D Bledso

Obviously they are either drafting Joe Thomas or trading down. With the trading of Bly to the Broncos for an OT and Tatum Bell, will they finally make a good decision?

So do you think the Steelers will pick up a big running back to back up fast Willie, or do you think they will go for some defense?

For years, it seemed like everyone from electronics stores to grocery stores would mention "stocking up" or "get a new TV" for Super Bowl Sunday. I have noticed in the past few years that they are now making oblique references to "the Big Game" or other generic terms. When did the NFL start "cracking down" on this perceived unauthorized use?

I read that in an article that Chicago also designated Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs as its franchise player. What does that mean?

I know what it means, and I know the significance. But I think that the level the game is played at now, being a good route runner is more important. I'm a diehard OSU fan, but I'm looking at Ginn, who just HANDLED safeties and CB in college, and I think those bursts will be limited when he gets in the NFL. He'll be good, but he may have to tweak what he does. Agreed?

Just saw a report that the Packers have offered Aarron Rodgers for Randy Moss. Who do you think makes out better here? Would you be okay with letting Rodgers go?

After all the press and people out there said he was being disrespected because of his color, and before he got his $4.7 million dollars a year contract, he threw Ron Rivera to the hounds like an old bone. I know the game a little bit, playing 3 years of ball on scholarship, and about 3 weeks in Dallas before I blew out my knee almost as bad as Livingston did recently with the Clippers. In 1976, we did not have the technology to rebuild it like they do now. Coach Ditka, who was the Special Teams coach with Dallas in those days, was as clear as day when he said, ''sorry kid, you're done.'' He was right! Anyway,I do know something about the game of football and the game of #'s. It would be hard to argue that despite a little letdown towards the end of the season, Ron and his defense got the Bears to the SuperBowl. Then, Lovie let's himgo at a bad time and now he is LB Coach for SD. Where is the fairness in that? Can anybody explain that to me please. I know what the press says.

I mean, look... they look racist by not just paying him market value right away. They look cheap by trying to lowball the NFC's top coach. They look stupid by thinking he'd take less and stay.

C'mon! I vote stupid. But all's well that ends well, I guess!

BEARS!

When Pac-Man got in touble, they only talked about it for about a day, but everything that goes on in Dallas is somehow related to T.O. I know he is a little off in the head, but he has never been in any kind of trouble, and no one can say he does not give 100% on the field. Please explain this to me!!!!
