Football (American) - February 2007

After a disappointing finish to a 14-2 season with homefield advantage in the playoffs (only to lose to the stinken Patriots) it seemed like the sooner we moved on to next season the better despite LT's miracle year. But should we be concerned????

* Marty Shottenheimer is in the LAST year of his contract, and declined a $1.4 million 1-year extension. So win or lose, he's done.

* We lost Cam Cameron, the man behind the NFL's #1 scoring offense, who accepted a position as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

and most recently......

* We alos lost Wade Phillips, our defensive coordinator, who accepted a head coaching position for the Dallas Cowboys!

The good news is that we still have all our key players and play makers. But should we as fans be concerned that by the end of next season we'll be looking for a new head coach and have offensive AND defensive coordinators that are only a year old???

My friends suggested that I try out for football this year. Spring conditioning's starting soon. I'm 6'4, 220 pounds, and i can bench about 240. Help would be appreciated.

At the University of Miami (FL) based on performance in college? Do not factor in NFL performance. To me it was Edgerrin James on offense and Ray Lewis on defense. Can't pick between the two.

big contract by a team. I dont know why they would base it on that one single performance. He has never been consistent and it showed in the season. Many of these dumb owners just base it on the playoffs. oh well i wonder who is going to fall flat on their face. What do you guys think?

They hardly broadcast in HD. Yesterday's pro bowl wasn't broadcast in HD, and even though the Super Bowl was, they couldn't keep their cameras clean, so we were constantly watching through a blurred raindrop.
