his skills are...diffrent from conventional QBs. he does lack in throwing with touch, but has a great laser arm, but lacks accuracy, but good enough to get to a WR to catch if only he had a few WRs that can catch, then i think the falcons will be good..he can run like the wind.
but i lost any respect i had for him when he gave his own verson of the dirty bird to his own fans. and the water bottle did not contain any illegal drugs, but why was he so un cooperative with them if there was nothing bad in it?, thats why i see Ron Mexico...i mean Michael Vick as "garbage"

Vick is one of the best athletes ever, but he is not a good leader or quarterback. He has shown poor leadership for a guy who has been in the league so long. He flipped off fans, had the water bottle incident, and other issues. He also cannot win consistently. He only had the one great year in college when he lost the national championship game. He is not where near as good as other quarterback who run, such as McNabb, Young (vince and steve), McNair, or even his backup Schaub.
Personally, I would not want to play with him. I have no confidence. Give me a classy guy like Vince Young anyday over Vick.
Keep in mind that guys should get better, especially quarterbacks. Vick has not improved at all.

The man is garbage as a quarterback when has he actually shown signs of greatness? he has a completion percentage at about 52% (average) 52 interceptions to 71 touchdowns (average)but when you run for over 1000 yards as a quarterback and your record is below .500 as a quarterback then i guess you don't get the "greatness" labeled on you until you know how to throw the ball

Vick really is garbage.
He has a Passer Rating of 75.7 one of the worst in the league.
He only completed 52.6% of his passes. The LOWEST OF ALL NFL Quarterbacks. The league average is 60%
He only threw for 154 yards per game. Again, the Lowest in the League.
He only scrambles because he can't find open receivers - which might be exciting for the football fan who is not sophisticated but it doesn't do much for his team.
He doesn't win ball games.
He likes to go as the name, "Ron Mexico"
There is nothing to like about Michael Vick. You should follow another QB than him.

I do not think he is garbage, just overrated. He ranks between the tenth and fifteenth QB in the league putting him in the top half of QB's in the league. He just has not lived up to his hype. He has been in the league long enough he should be reaching his prime, but people still talk about how he is still learning. He is a good QB, just not a great QB.

Lets see
1) his stats are horrible
2) he doesn't have that good of a record ( I would accept the poor passing percentage and the interceptions if he won games)
3) his obscene gestures to his own fans (does he forget they are who actually pays his salary)
4) He doesn't do a good job running the offense (They were 26th out of 32 in scoring last year)

No, he had one or two good games, not exactly promising stuff. He is not a very good quarterback, and he is not willing to switch to receiver or something. He is basically the teams whole salary cap so they cant afford anything else. And he isnt a very good passer. You cant make it in the NFL as a running qb.

because he can't throw accurately at all. teams can build a great offense around a running qb like vick, but it doesn't work unless the qb can actually beat the defense with his arm as well as his legs.

I wouldn't say he's garbage. He just never has (and never will I believe) live up to the hype he has received. He'll always be a average QB in a RB body.

vick is a good player, but he needs to control the game better and lead his team to the playoffs. the falcons have talent but vick needs to step up and lead that talent.
