The college football scenario:
- Punter punts ball but it is blocked back towards him
- Punter picks ball back up and punts it again before being tackled

Follow-up question: Can anyone pick the ball back up and punt it or can only the punter?

I know that i cant just go out tommorow and suddenly become the next Pete Carrol, but i just need to know how I can get some experience in order to get started in a coaching career, since i have none. Is there anywhere online that can help me with some resources or networking? How do i get started at the bottom level of coaching? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We all know the BCS should be shortened to just BS, so how would you fix it?

Here's what I would do:
Each major conference is required to have a championship game. The 6 conference winners make the playoffs. Then you have two "At Large" teams, most likely coming from the Big 10 and SEC unless those conferences have some kind of off-year. And Notre Dame is not allowed to whine. If they dont want to join a conference, then they'd better make sure they get the "At Large". These 8 teams would be seeded 1 to 8 (using the BCS system if we must) and they'd then play out the bracket to determine a title game and champion. January could be as much fun as March!

This is the second post of this question b/c I wanted to clarify something. In my playoff, the 4 first round games would be the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and the Sugar Bowl, the next rounds games would be new "major bowl" (i.e. Kellog's Cereal Bowl and Kohler Toilet Bowl). Then you'd have the National Championship.

How ridiculous was it that Darrent Williams never recieved any help from the safety or linebackers yesterday? Manning literally picked on Williams by throwing his way every time in each of the Colts last 3 drives. Did the Broncos coaching staff not recognize this? How could you not see that Manning was completely exploiting the lack of ability of Williams.

Browns beat Raiders, and Raiders beat Steelers. So... Cleveland Browns > Oakland Raiders > Pittsburgh Steelers.
By transitive property the Cleveland Browns are greater than the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!

It used to be (in the days of a 11 game regular season) that you needed a winning record (at least 6-5) to be bowl eligible. Now that they play 12 regular season games, is a 6-6 team bowl eligible or do they have to get to at least 7-5?

I wouldn't be second guessing Cowher if I hadn't been saying all along (in here, among other places) that Batch should be starting. And it was obvious from the get-go that Big Ben was in no shape to be playing football yesterday.

What should happen if the Big East has an undeafted team slip into the national championship and then get destroyed by Ohio State. Anybody else agree that the conference should lose their automatic bcs berth? God i hate the big east, what a shitty conference. If wvu was in any other conference, big ten sec pac ten and even acc, they would loss half their games.

Who here is sick of no one believing in the Chicago Bears? Give credit where credit is due. I'm tired of hearing how the only reason that we're winning is because the teams we play are poor teams. NEWS FLASH - They're poor teams because we make them that way! Ok...talk amongst yourselves.....
