We all know the BCS should be shortened to just BS, so how would you fix it?
Here's what I would do:
Each major conference is required to have a championship game. The 6 conference winners make the playoffs. Then you have two "At Large" teams, most likely coming from the Big 10 and SEC unless those conferences have some kind of off-year. And Notre Dame is not allowed to whine. If they dont want to join a conference, then they'd better make sure they get the "At Large". These 8 teams would be seeded 1 to 8 (using the BCS system if we must) and they'd then play out the bracket to determine a title game and champion. January could be as much fun as March!
This is the second post of this question b/c I wanted to clarify something. In my playoff, the 4 first round games would be the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and the Sugar Bowl, the next rounds games would be new "major bowl" (i.e. Kellog's Cereal Bowl and Kohler Toilet Bowl). Then you'd have the National Championship.
