BEN HAS BEEN THROUGH A LOT THIS PAST OFF SEASON.TO SAY THAT IS THE REASON HE HAS PLAYED POORLY MAY BE TOO SIMPLE.THERE ARE A LOT MORE THINGS WRONG WITH THIS TEAM THAN BEN.IT IS A MORE PREDICTABLE TEAM WITHOUT RANDLE EL AND THE CHEMISTRY WITHOUT THE BUS IS EVIDENT.ALSO THE BREAKS THAT THIS TEAM GOT LAST YEAR ARE GOING AGAINST IT THIS YEAR.BEN WILL GET BETTER AS THE SEASON GOES ON,REMEMBER HE GOT NO PRESEASON IN. HE IS RUSTY AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET AROUND THAT IS WITH REPS. THIS IS STILL A GOOD TEAM. THEY WILL REBOUND AND MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. BATCH IS A BACKUP AT BEST!! KEEP THE FAITH THIS IS THE SAME GUY WHO WAS ON TOP OF THE WORLD LAST YEAR. DON'T WRITE HIM OFF.WE WON WITH HIM NOW WE ARE LOSING WITH HIM THAT IS JUST THE WAY THE GAME WORKS.I AM A TRUE FAN WHO LOVES THIS TEAM GO STEELERS!!

Ben has too many injuries and is no longer confident in the pocket. He waits too long to throw and tries to get one off when the rush comes and throws terribly. He also can't move as well this year. Charlie Batch (my neighbor) should have replaced him weeks ago and stay until Cowher is sure that Ben is 100% and not just being greedy and trying to play and keep his face on the
TV. Batch is a Starting-quality QB and could start for half of the teams in the NFL. He can win...Ben at the moment cant.

Because Big Ben is our starting quarterback and since he was medically cleared to play, you got to start him. It wouldn't have helped his rustiness to sit him against a team that we should have dominated. You can't wait until after the game is over and then jump on the Charlie Batch bandwagon..That's anouther thing that pisses me off about my fellow Steeler fans thay have this " What have you done for me now?"mentality. Let's not forget that we did win a little game called the Super Bowl last year and are consistently among the NFL's elite teams. They are allowed to have a few moments of imperfection

I thought it was hilarious seeing "Big" Ben struggle and then the Raiders beat them. The Raiders are like the worst team in the NFL. But Charlie Batch should be starting.

You would have been saying the same thing about Charlie Batch after he got sacked 5 times and threw even more interceptions. The Raiders defense is good and all everyone keeps talking about how it was Ben's (I'm not even going to try to spell his last name) fault.

CLEVELAND WINS AND PITTSBURGH LOSES!! Greatest day ever. Take a look at this Cleveland Browns > Oakland Raiders > Pittsburgh Steelers. Transitive property says, "Cleveland Browns are greater than the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!"

I think it was just to get the rust off Ben for the bigger game. I don't see throwing a game away though. Not when the season is this bad.

I thought that the Rooney's and Cower were smarter than that but I guess I'm wrong, that they would jeopardize the career of the best QB to come along since Bradshaw, it go's to show that they really don't care about their players.

Big Ben is in no shape to play football this year.
The poor guy has been through so much this year... I think it will be best to sit him down and refocus for next year.
