SEC, pac-10 got national championships, but to go undefeated in the SEC is nearly impossible . . . Florida, Tennessee. Auburn, LSU. Ohio State wouldn't be undefeated in the SEC. USC would have lost more than one. West Virginia and Louisville wouldn't be in the top 10. The most competative confrence with no clear cut favorite, and always at least two teams looking for a national championship.

Let's see Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama are not having the best of years though they are decent teams, but the SEC is top heavy dont forget about the bottom of the SEC, the Big East is the best conference from top to bottom they are the only conference with three undefeated teams( two after thursday), and the only conference where at least every team has three wins. Three teams in the top 12 of the BCS, by the way the ACC is terrible.
Besides its a year by year thing 6 years ago the Big East was considered the best with 5 teams in the top 25, until 3 of them left and one fell of the map, the SEC wasnt so hot back then, but no one chooses to remember that. Auburn and LSU were terrible then.
All of you base your opinions on old sterotypes.

I think the SEC is a great conference, but how are they better than the big 12, big 10, or ACC. The only reason there are four teams in the top 15 is because they already ranked high in the preseason polls. Great conferences are about all the teams being good instead of 6 good teams and six terrible teams. Sure the SEC has fours teams in the top 15. But the rest of their teams are in the bottom. Thats not balance. Every year, its tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and sometimes south Carolina playing well and going to bowl games. But Kentucky, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Ole miss usually suck. Thats not balance. The big 12 is not the best but its a good example of competition. Last year, Texas, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, and Iowa State were bowl eligible teams last year. This year in the Big 12, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M are gonna be bowl eligible. Thats just a good example of a conference that is balanced. u dont see the same teams in bowl games because they are betting beat up every year so its not guaranteed they will get there. There is no team in the big 12 with less than 3 losses this year except for Colorado. And they really suck this year. But about that. Colorado almost beat Georgia and Arizona State, butonce they got into conference play, they started getting blown out by Missouri and Oklahoma, beaten by Baylor and Kansas. And will probably get murdered by Iowa State and Nebraska. Every team inthe big 12 has a year in bowl games except for Baylor, but they are going this year. The team that has been away from a bowl game the longest is vanderbilt. The last time they were there was 1984. Maybe when the SEC starts scheduling some good outta conference opponents, we can see how dominant they really are. Right now, we hae to look at the bowl records. The Big 12 won the conference bowl challenge last year so I have to go with the stats. But I personally think that if they had a season with conference challenges top to bottom. the Big 10 would win. And plus there is talent everywhere these days. It shouldnt be about the conferences, it should be about the teams. Florida has gone undefeated in the SEC numerous of times. So has Tennesse, Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia. So its not like its impossible to go undefeated in the SEC. Less teams have gone undefeated in the big 10. All I can think of is Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. In the Pac 10, its just USC and Cal. In the big 12, it has been Nebraska, Texas and Oklahoma. in the Big East its been Miami and Virginia Tech, In the ACC its been Florida State and Georgia Tech. We cant possibly determine who is the best until they face other conferences from one to 12. Lets say Big 12 vs SEC for example. That means Mississippi state vs Colorado, Iowa State vs Vanderbilt, Ole Miss vs Kansas, Kentucky vs Oklahoma state, South Carolina vs Kansas State, Alabama vs Texas Tech, Georgia vs Missouri, Tennessee vs Texas A&M, Arkansas vs Nebraska, Oklahoma vs Auburn, Florida vs Texas. Thats look like an even match up to me. So we dont really know until we have a challenege like this.

Pac 10 is regarded as the best conference, with 7 out of ten teams in the top 50 and only one outside of the top 70. The SEC has 66% of its conference in the top 50, the Big Ten 6 out of 11 for 54%. We can go by the sagarin ratings which still has the Pac 10 number 1 as a conference. So I would have to say based on schedule, and rankings using the BS formula its the Pac 10 as the best conference.

ACC. BEcause unlike the SEC you can't always roll over anybody except Duke. With the SEC teams, they always roll over teams like Kentucky, Vandy, Mississippi St. but with the ACC anybody can win a game. Big 10 is better than the SEC. Plus it is not always the same teams going back to the championship game or competing.

i might have to agree with you. especially this year the big 12 is doing bad and though i love ohio state, the big ten only has osu and michigan and the other teams arent doing that well. so the sec this year has got the most teams playing well
