I want to build a bike that can be used for Trials style rideing but also as an around town basher. so it needs to be light and durable. I am thinking Giant STP for the frame, but I can't find a weight for the frame. any suggestion or info for frame weight would be great.

When I bike shopping the store clearks keep telling me about how great this component is and this bike is more expensive because of these components. I have no idea what component is what or if it makes that much of a difference. I'm sure is does however I don't know how much. The following are the components for the two bike I have to choose between:

Bike A:
Front derailleur: Shimano Deore
Rear derailleur: SRAM X.7 rear derailleur
Shifters: SRAM X.5
Cassette: SRAM PG950 11-26, 9 speed

Bike B:
Front derailleur: Shimano FD-R443 Tiagra for flat H/B's
Rear derailleur: Shimano Tiagra, long cage
Shift Levers: Shimano R440, 9-speed STI
Cassette: SRAM PG-950, 9-speed 12-26t

Both bikes have noticable but moderate price differences and one has disc breaks. Which components are better and by how much? Also if anyone knows how I can research the quality of components in the future, that would be awsome. If you need more info, I will add it.

My son's bike will not put the chain up on the first gear. The selector will show first, but the chain will stay on the second gear. If the selector is held all the way back, it will start to move up. When released, the chain will fall back to the second sprocket. Is this an issue with a limit screw or cable tightness(or both)?

Is this a good deal? Are Huffys good bikes?

They are supposedly a year old with little wear.

they do not secure very well any more, the rest of the shoe is in great shape, makes me wonder if I should not buy anything with velcro again since it has failed on other gear, jackets ect.

I just started training for the MS150 bike ride. http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR?px=3229730&pg=personal&fr_id=1990

I currenly can ride for about an hour at a time at about 10mph. I plan on training 5-6 days a week for the next month. How long will it take me to finish the 75 miles? I am not planning on racing, I want to take my time, I am just wondering what to expect.

where do I start? Where do I finish? What is the record? who holds it? are there any popular roads people compete for time on, which take several days or weeks to ride? How do I archive my ride, if I do intend to break records? Do I have to have money to archive it?

I am interested in buying a double suspension mountain bike and I'm a little unsure about what frame size would be good for me. I have looked at plenty of charts but they're all different. I'm 5 feet, 11 inches and I have between a 33 and 34 inch inseam. I figured a 20 inch frame would be right. Is there anyone that knows bikes that could tell me for sure?

but i just noticed the muscles on my left shoulder-biceps area are more defined while the ones in the right arm are as big but less defined. I work with a trainer and always watch the mirror to check if i'm using more one side, and hasn't happened, so is there a way to even them out?
