Are they for you and spouse or for the kids.........If they're for the kids it is a decent investment as they will probably out grow them in a few years.
If they are for you, just think about the investment to how much you are going to ride them....( if they are in good shape)...a $200 dollar investment you will get what you paid for but nothing more, but quite possibly less then the investment..........I would get a friend that knows bikes or take them to a bike shop to make sure they are in quality/safe riding shape.
If you would like a check list for yourself I can email you one..

I would'nt take a Huffy if you gave it to me. They should be paying you to take them. Anything from Walmart, K-Mart or Target is JUNK as far as bikes go. No quick release on the rear wheel? A good sign of a low quality bike. 15 speed also tells you something. Any quality mountain bike is now 21 speed or higher. Sorry, but they are NOT a good deal. Don't believe me ? Ask anyone in a bike shop about them. You can buy bikes like these cheaper at Walmart brand new. But they won't hold up to any serious riding.

Huffy is synonymous with "crappy bike" to any cyclist. Bike shops let their employees take out aggression on leftover Huffys after hours, and many mountain bike festivals have a Huffy Toss competition to see how far one can throw these boat anchors.
They are heavy, poorly made out of rock-bottom materials, and assembled by a stoned stockboy with a hammer and a pair of vice-grips.
If Huffy made an airplane, would you fly in it?
(Do you get the point yet?)

Actually, contrary to the above answers, Huffy does still make 15 speed bikes. However, they can be had brand new for about $70.00 each or even less.
They are not mountain bikes, and are not intended for off road use of any kind. So, if your plan was to use them on trails, or even for rides of more than a few miles, forget it.

Huffys are not a good bike. And I have'nt seen a 15 speed bike in over 10 years. In fact,I don't think they've even made them in many years. I have a 10 year old Fila, and it has 18 speeds. I's run the other direction if I were you.

I would avoid Huffy altogether. They are department store bikes that, many times, sell for less than about $75 when new. As a part time bike shop mechanic, I can also tell you that, many times, they are difficult to repair safely. The quality of the components and frame are almost a grade F.

Are these for kids or an adult?
If for kids and you are on a budget, go for it.
Make sure they are adjusted correctly and safe to ride and actually fit the intended rider. (one size does not fit all)
But for adults, if you want a bike you can enjoy and not ***** about...listen to the other's warnings of not buying dept store bikes.
Look for a bike that is at least $300 when it was new. ($500 is better.) It makes a big difference. Avoid suspension features in this price range....they just make the bike HEAVIER.

cyclists don't let friends ride Huffys
go to your local bike shop and buy a proper, real, quality bike
never go to Walmart, Kmart, Sears, Target, etc....
even though you may save money in the beginning, the repairs will cost more than the bike...
for durability and reliability, check out Trek, KHS, Giant, and Specialized
