In my own opinion, its the worst idea for a great boxer to be doing. Once he enters politics his name will be destroyed! I respect him so much as an avid fan of boxing, but i don't think I could respect him the same way if he continues his candidacy. Besides, didn't he just receive his High-School degree? Yes, he is great and very popular in his sport, but, he will never be great in politics. Just because he is popular, doesn't mean people will vote for him. The Philippines has had so many bad incidents like this, and I assure you, they won't let it happen again. So, what do you say?

Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor. Looking back on his career in the 1980's, there were a number of Hall of Fame boxers who in and around his weight class that never fought him. Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns, Livingstone Bramble, Hector Camacho and even Sugar Ray Leonard etc. Why was it that the only one of note that did step into the ring with him was Alexis Arguello. Were these Champs scared of " Hawk Time"? Your thoughts?

They all claim to be the best, they claim they all want respect, yet they don't seem to be in a hurry to fight each other and unify the title. Wladimir Klitschko and Oleg Maskaev couldn't come to an agreement to unify their belts yet Maskaev now wants to fight a comebacking Vitali, who has been out of the sport for quite some time and has no kind of title at all? That doesn't make sense on Maskaev's part! And Valuev keeps saying he wants to fight Wladimir, but he continues to go to the cemetaries to find his opponents. Guys, fight each other already and stop ducking one another if you want the respect of the boxing public!

I saw on ESPN Friday Night Fights last night that Pavlik is going to mix it up with Miranda on the undercard of the Taylor vs. Spinks scrap in Memphis on 5/19. Pavlik is really taking a big step up in competition in my opinion. Does Pavlik have a good shot of icing or beating Miranda by decision?

I am 6'0 tall, currently I weigh 168 Lbs. and hoping to compete in that weight class. (Sorry for the repeat of question had add more detail for the question I am asking.)

GOTTA GO W/ EUBANK ON THIS ONE. CALZAGHE WOULD STAND OFF SQUARE ON AND EUBANK WOULD DISLOCATE HIM WITH MULTI DIRECTIONAL FOOT MOVEMENT OR HIT HIM W/ FAST, POWERFUL JAB OR RIGHT HAND TO THE BODY OR HEAD, ND WHEN CALZAGHE TRIES TO COME FORWARD WITH A FLURRY EUBANK RETEATS LIKE HE DID, I SEE HIM GRINDING CALZAGHE DOWN AND BUSTING HIM UP UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS AND CONSTANTLY DISLOCATING HIM AND NICKING ENOUGH ROUNDS IF IT GOES 12

I was going to go to the Pacquiao fight, but it looks like I might wait for this one instead. It had better have a good card, though. Does anyone know anything about it yet that's not on Boxrec?

i believe that they were not and here is why- first, the second fight, if one looks at the video, it is clear that Ali connected with a punch on the temple, which is the best place to land a knockout punch. It is clear that Listons head snapped back pretty violently, second, Ali refusing to go to a corner meant that the ref had to figure out how long liston had been down because he could not start the count. during this tim, liston got up and ali resumed the fight until the ref stepped in and calle the KO, would they have done this if the fights were fixed? Now the first fight, i don't see any logical reason one could call this a fix, especially after what Ali went on to do in the rest of his career. Liston had a cut and was disheartened and quit. good sources also indicate that Liston intentionally tried to blind Ali by puting somthing on his glove. This worked, but Ali fought through it and won. Would liston have tried to do this if the fight were fixed?
