I would agree with Da Mick, but not the others. The speed bag is more for timing, coordination and control that for true hand speed. Want you want to do is always train with wrist weights or something similar. Everything you do for training, jump rope, sit ups, sparing, etc, should be done with some degree of weight added to the hands. You can also specifically work the bag with heavier wrist weights. When you finally get in the ring without the weights, your hands will feel like feathers and your stamina will be much higher. This is also a good tool for increasing punch output abilities. Good luck.

Speed bag. Speed bag. Speed bag. Get the medium size one, then the small one, and then the one called a 'peanut bag'. Do three or four minutes rounds, a minute rest, and then another round. Do three or four rounds. It'll speed you up lots by the time you get down to the peanut bag.

If you have a big pool, get some 1 once weight bands and throw punches in the water. (Get IN the pool when you do it. I told a friend of mine and the next day he was practicing NEXT to his pool...Go figure...)
