I began training for Amateur boxing at 14 yrs old, but then stopped when I got interested in other sports at age 15. But after 12yrs, I am training again to pursue a dream I should not have stopped. I am 6'0 tall, currently I weigh 168 Lbs. and hoping to compete in that weight class. (Sorry for the repeat of question had add more detail for the question I am asking.)

As long as your desire is still there then by all means go for it. The thing is getting the right trainer, with the right trainer he/ she will work with you on your strengths and weaknesses, he/ she will turn you into the very best that you can be. Good luck!

Thanks for the question Devon.

If it is a dream of yours then go for it. I quit boxing at 15 also to concentrate on football and baseball in high school. I'm back in the gym getting into shape and looking to compete with the old farts on a sparring and amateur type basis. Good Luck

a good trainer, coach and your perserverance and practice should be the same as it was at 14....then and only then would I start back in the ring...be prepared...12yrs can make one hell of a difference in what your body can handle punishment wise......good luck..

its not the age that matters but how much heart you have to follow your dream regardless of the obstacles. 27 is not old if you work hard. good luck
