Byrd is the guy who lost to Klitshco last year. I checked his schedual and he has no fights comming up. Most of the people on ESPN say he's pretty much done. What do you think?

Actually I heard he was going down in weight class and fighting in the Cruiserweight Division. He is a very small heavyweight but moved up to where the money was. Luckily he was skilled enough to frustrate a lot of the heavyweights and was very successful. He has not dodged anyone and is still a draw so I think HBO will have no problem airing him fighting at a lower class. Perhaps bring some excitement to the Cruiserweight Division which has been nonexistant seemingly since James Toney and Vassiliy Jirov have moved up.

Blogbaba agrees with Mrraraav, I remember Bryd as a middleweight, I always marveled at his success in the heavyweight division. In truth Bryd always overachieved and pleasantly suprised me, I never considered him a true heavyweight. I still think he is a threat to some of the current titlist's. His style wasn't much from a spectator standpoint, but it beat some impressive fighters, Tua, Vitali Kiltshco and Holyfield to name a few. I always wanted to see Byrd vs Michael Moorer, I though it would have been interesting. ESPN may be right, he looked pretty ragged in the two beatings the younger Kiltshco gave him.

I hope HBO does give him a shot, Byrd's from a good boxing family, and was always a good guy. He's from my area, and and I don't mind seeing good people succeed. He would own the crusierweight division if he drops down in weigh.

If he loses to his next opponent he has no shot. He is fighting a guy with very little KO power in April.

I hope not. Hes not a good heaveyweight fighter. He has no power, hes not exciting to watch. Hes a mediocre fighter at best.
