I have always felt that Maddux was a better pitcher and slipped under the radar because he wasn't as glamorous as Clemens, and didn't throw splintered bats at Mike Piazza and the like. But Maddux has nearly as many wins, the same ERA, and the same number of Cy Youngs as Clemens had before he touched steroids, (and in truth, Maddux deserved at least one more than he got.)

I've read or heard that a number of people feel Canseco will "out" A-Rod and maybe some others in his second book, relative to steroids. Why does anyone assign more credibility to Canseco than any of the folks who talked to Mitchell during the preparation of the report?

I'm looking to buy a Lou Gehrig Goudey Gum card from 1933 for my husband for xmas. It's not in perfect condition, so I know that brings the value down somewhat. It says it's a #92 card. What does this number mean? It has some creases on it, some slight discoloration but otherwise is in good shape.

My husband loves baseball cards - would this be a good xmas gift for a baseball enthusiast? I don't know much about baseball cards - what value would you place on this card?

The Yankees had over 20 players on the Mitchell report. Three out of five of the pitchers on the 2000 world series roster were taking HGH or steriods or both. Clemens, pettette and naegle, along with stanton, et al.

They uncritically chronicled the McGwire and Bonds home run record chase, never questioning how much bigger these guys were. You never hard a sportswriter say, "Zit faced Sosa MAY BE juiced, with acne as a side effect?"

Just why is that?

after the mitchell report states clemens + petitte BOTH used steroids during their careers, and petitte comes out and admits it, the media and fans are quick to their defense.
albeit some columnists say they're just as bad as bonds, the majority of people defend these two yankees?
when bonds was accused, everyone looked at him as a disgrace.
is this racism?
why is this happening

This question is for fans of both the Chicago Cubs, and Chicago White Sox. What was the best Chicago Cubs or Chicago White Sox game of the 2007 baseball season. So you get the chance to vote for your own team's game. When replying, please give me the date of game, the game #, the team they played, what happened in the game, and why you are picking that game for the best of thier games this past 2007 season.

i mean every big acheiver in the sport has taken steroids; so whats the point....this is a tarnished game now....and ppl will always make fun of it. I was shocked, im a blue jays fan and i found out troy glaus, and gregg zaun took them....GREGG ZAUN. And Roger Clemens took them when he was with the jays. This was so shocking.
