Being the age that I am and also the fan I am I've watched the game since the early 70's and I would actually say that since then he's been the best out of all. No other pitcher has had that kind of pinpoint control and the streak of 15 wins a season for all those years is amazing given the fact he throws only 80-84 miles an hour.

If you compare his career totals and awards, Greg is better than most pitchers. He has won 4 Cy young awards and 17 gold gloves. He did all of that without the help of steroids.

Yes. 347 career wins will do that... he's second only to Roger Clemens in the modern day era, ahead of guys like Seaver, Ryan, Carlton, Sutton, and Niekro.
He's also exactly 1 day younger than me...

Nope. These are the ones I would have for sure in the top ten-
Cy Young
Nolan Ryan
Sandy Koufax
Grover Cleveland Alexander
Rollie Fingers
Catfish Hunter
As for today's pitchers, several are better than Greg Maddux.
Randy Johnson
Roger Clemens
Curt Shilling
Mariano Rivera
Tom Glavin
Yes. I have always thought Tommy was a better pitcher than Greg. I guess it's just a matter of opinion.
Even though I don't like Roger Clemens personally, he is still the better pitcher.
By the way, these are in no particular order.
