I went in 1999 for Nolan Ryan's Hall of Fame Induction. It was awesome. I got to hear George Brett give his speech in which he said he never wanted to be in the HOF he only wanted to be as good as his brothers. Robin Yount told everyone that he was the luckiest man on the face of the earth. Nolan Ryan thanked about 200 people from all throughout his 27 year career. It was 8 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. If you love baseball, going through those rooms will bring back so many memories "it will be as if you dipped yourself in magic waters. The memories will be so thick you'll have to brush them away from your face." The game is still a great game. Shadows darken the day for only a little while before the sun chases them away.

I live about 45 miles from Cooperstown. A few years back they has Thurman Munsons catching gear on display. When i was little I loved watching Munson play. Needless to say ,I reached out and touched his gear and set off an alarm. I stepped back and mingled with the other visitors while security came. I left before I could get into any trouble.

growing up i used to go every year with my father. it taught me so love and respect the game so much more than what i already did. i have prolly been there a total of 15 times. used to love going during induction day and meeting the old timers who were signing. last time i went was 2 years ago and i went to the game at doubleday field. if ya get the chance to watch a game there do it, its a blast. cant wait til my kids get a few years older so i can bring them and show them are past time.

No :(
I've been trying to convince my parents to take me there, but it's an 11-hour or something drive from where we live, so we'd have to find a place to stay or whatever, and we aren't exactly the wealthiest people around.
I keep telling them my sister doesn't have to go to college....
:)
Maybe they'll take me as a 8th grade graduation present

Twice, but it's been well over a decade since the last time.
Never been to Induction Weekend -- have long figured that I'd go for Clemens' turn. Well, we'll see.

I was just there. It was very cool, but clearly it is geared towards those who can appreciate the displays from the 1920's - 1980's. Its not really cool for a teenager to see, unless they are seasoned in the sport.
