If you went to a major league baseball game would you rather see a hitter safe at first with a bunt single then steal second and third base and come home on a sacrifice fly, or see a hitter hit a 500 foot homerun? No right or wrong response and best answer will go to the person with the best explanation

My question is - why do Yankee fans cheer this guy? He is a proven steroid user, and now he fails amphetamine tests? So why do Yankee fans cheer this cheater and loser?

If guys like bonds can take steroids and guys like strawberry can snort cocaine and guys like sosa can use a cork bat and guys all these players who go out and get in trouble with the law. All these guys get away with crap so why does rose have to stay away from the game. He is the greatest player in the history of the game. More hits than any other player. I say let him come back. After all he has done for the game I think he deserves one last chance to come back and redefine is legacy.

This morning the Mike & Mike show said that Andrew Jones was the most over rated center fielder ever in baseball and that Sandy Colfax was the most over rated lefty ever in baseball.

I disagree on the Andrew Jones comment I believe he was at one time the best in the game not now of course. But I don’t know about the Sandy Colfax comment.

Your thoughts on both please.

Many people have asked this question and I want to know your answers. Sammy Sosa is now 2 homeruns away from 600...but is he hitting the homeruns for his ego or is he for real with the Rangers?

How many times has Derek Jeter made the 3rd out? It seems to me he can't be depended upon to get a hit when the Yanks are behind and there are men on base.
He did it twice last night against Boston.

Most major changes we have seen in MLB during the past (40) years have been implemented to promote more offensive production; Such as the Designated Hitter, Smaller Ballparks, and lowering the pitching mound. Is more offensive production the answer to bringing in the fans or would the fan like to see a well pitched game. Pitching dominated the game in the 1960's and MLB decided to lower the pitching mound from 15" to 10" in 1968. The higher the mound the more leverage the pitcher has and it makes it more difficult for a hitter to hit the ball squarely. This one single change has skewed the power numbers in favor of the hitters far more than steroids could ever do, while at the same time rolling up ERA's for the pitchers. It is very possible that someone like Johan Santana would have Gibson and Koufax type numbers if he pitched using a 15" mound. Is it time to even the playing field and start looking at some changes that will benefit the pitchers?

Thanks to Nashvegas for the idea, by the way.

I could not find the answer to this anywhere. My initial guess would be the Bonds family, but it certainly could be the Boone family. Any ideas?

I understand that it only constitute a save if the team is within three runs. but what happens if the team has more than a three run lead but the said pitcher gives up the lead down to fewer than three than continues on to finish the game?
