what idiot is going down and giving thumbs down to people who don't like the man....
-people have opinions....I thought the thumbs down was for people who didn't answer the question or were complete idiots about it

throw out the steroids.......just throw it out for what i'm about to say
the man's a jerk
he's always been a jerk....

I don't like him as a person....so i'm rooting against him
When he breaks the record, I'll watch because it's historic and I can't wait to see everybody's reaction

Also, I'll put $100 bucks on him hitting it in San Fran
but I'd love to see it happen somewhere like Pittsburgh (OK....anywhere BUT San Fran) to see the hateful reactions

This is not about Barry the short term user. It's about Barry who did not treat the media, MLB, and fans with the love and respect they deserved over the years.

What good is a record when the most important element of the game ( the fans) isn't there with you to share it with?

Bonds has done this to himself and it has come back to bite him in the rear. I guess I'll read about it.

24 hours later, check with my bookie. I've got five large riding on the "under" for post-756 baseball fan self-inflicted deaths, since there's so many Bonds haters who are established as being incapable of dealing with reality. The line was at 125 1/2 nationwide, and I'm certain that, despite their vocal and strident stance on the topic, there are not enough haters with the courage or the conviction to check out after Bonds moves up to #1. Hope they use clean methods, at least.

Rooting for A-rod to break Bonds record. He has the best shot to be the next one to be the all time HR leader.

Which is a big deal coming from a Red Sox fan!

Well, I can tell you that I won't be watching the Giants, I will be watching the Braves if they are playing and everytime Bonds comes up to bat and they cut to it like they did with McGwire, I will simply turn the channel until it is over and go back to watching the Braves.

I refuse to support a cheater! Hank Aaron will be the homerun champ until A-Rod breaks the record. You don't need steroids to hit homeruns, The Babe did it with beer and hot dogs!!!!!!!!!

When Bonds breaks the record I will be cheering on the next guy to break his record because that record is Hank Aaron's because Hank Aaron didn't cheat so I'm against Bonds and if you are with Bonds I have no clue why because he CHEATED!!!!!!

First of all there is no record to break. Barry "Steroid" might pass Aaron in number of home runs but he will never "HOLD" any record. Cheaters don't hold records. As for me personally, I'm sure I'll have something more important to do than watch a cheater continue to cheat.

One thing is for sure, it will be a sad day for baseball.

When Bonds breaks the record I will continue to route hole hard idly for Ken Griffey JR. to continue on and break the new record.

Start rooting for ANY other player who is honest, drug-free and not so damn arrogant to break "The Cheaters" record as soon as possible. Hopefully that person will have some INTEGRITY.

Watching the Yankees game....

And some moron....most likely ESPN...will interupt whatever program I'm watching to tune in.

Whoopty doo.

ESPN will also most likely cut into his ABs during their regular programming as he gets closer.

I would be happy...if no one shows up to the game, no one writes about it and if they do write about it....they tell about how a sad day for Major League Baseball...and for all of Sports.

I'll be rooting for him...and wondering why the whole world seems to hate him so much.

McGuire and Sosa were just as juiced, but nobody spits venom at them as much as Barry.
