I used to be "on the fence" about Pete Rose getting into the Hall of Fame... "Should he or should he not?" BUT now there is no way in hell he will get in. After the news that he bet on his Red's every single night they played while he managed them.....does anyone still think he should get a chance at the Hall???

It angers me that people have compared Rose with Jackson. Don't people understand that Pete never threw a game so he could win a bet. He was above .500 as a manager. He loved the Reds, and Cincinnati. His gambling habits were serious, but they never affected his team on the field. What do you think.

Alex Rodriguez tries to insist that he wants to remain in New York. But an option in his contract allows him to become a free agent after this season, and in a radio interview Tuesday, he threatened to invoke the option if the fans did not embrace him.

I mean he's just asking for harassment from the fans by saying that. The fans aren't embracing him because of his choke jobs in the playoffs not because they don't think he's a talented player. Maybe if he didn't choke so bad they would embrace him. I think it's sad how he's using that clause in his contract to get fan support.

I'm not a phenomenal athlete, and I'm not trying to make the big leagues or anything, but I would like to be able to hit better. I field and throw the ball well, I just can't hit for sh!t. I'm not even very good at hitting slow-pitch softballs, which is pretty pathetic. Any pointers?

By the way, I'm not terribly worried about my power, I'm just trying to cut down on the strikeouts.
