Currently I am a freshman rightfielder in highschool. I am 5'8". I bench 125, squat 205, and run a 7.6 60-yard dash. Do I need improvement to make it to the next level, and if so, where?

hey there... i've played baseball all my life and i can answer this question from experience:

the most important part of any baseball players body is his legs - when you are batting your legs provide most of the power of your swing - so feel free to lift heavier on the legs...

don't overdo the upper body!!! your upper body must be flexible in order to play baseball and lifting heavy weights with your shoulders can often lead to a torn rotator cuff.. so go lighter on top and do lat raises with light weights and things like that...

also, feel free to ask your coaches for a suggested workout schedule or search the web for a nice schedule... im sure there are plenty out there! i hope i helped...

I was about the same stature as you when I played back in the stone age,I'll tell you what, once I got my upper body in shape I threw the ball so much harder, you should be benching over 200 work on your triceps, shrugs, biceps and for gosh sakes your bench,a little tip if you can bench your weight your doing well.I was a punch and judy hitter so power wasn't a big issue but contact and hit to all fields, hit for avg, extra bases will come,o'yea throw everyday,I never had a sore arm my entire career and I was a pitcher
