(This is all based on being that I'm a Philadelphia Phillies fan, so my opinion is biased)

In my opinion, the Yankees are set up every year to be a very good team. Could they have used Dice-K? Absolutely, and I think that they had an extremely high bid in on him. If that system was not secret bidding, than they would have had him in the Bronx.

The Yankees, however, barring upset (like every year) are still the team to beat in the AL and the AL East. Their offense is absolutely amazing, and w/ the healthy return of Matsui all year, and another MVP type year from ARod (that I am banking on), I think that they will be right there again in the mix come the Divisional Series.

Their only weakness, as always, is there pitching. The return of Pettitte definitly helps them, but I still think that their staff is iffy. Kei Igawa may be a good pitcher but I wouldn't be banking on him in the first year. One of the biggest things I think their rotation banks on is the reemergence or Carl Pavano. Will they make a play for Clemens no matter what? Probably, because a rotation of Wang, Petttite, Mussina, Igawa, Pavano just won't do it. They coudla used a bullpen arm as well, but that's never going to kill the Yanks in my opinion.

first of all the baseball season will not go into the next year. in 2008 will be the beggining of a new season and it will end in the same year.

but as for this year the yankees will prolly make it to the playoff and then lose in the ALCS 4games to 2 with the last games score being 5-3 in favor of the other team whomever it may be. most likely the tigers

This is baseball, the entire season will take place in 07. And the Yankees will win their division and get swept by Minnesota or Detroit in the first round of the playoffs.

They will make the postseason but they need their pitching to come up big so that they can get back to the world series and bring another one home. But hey i am a Yankees fan so of course we are going to win it all, have you seen this line up. If i was a pitcher i would cry the night before i had to pitch against these guys.

The yanks will win their division but get beat by Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota, or LAA in the playoffs... they are a team built for the regular season with a great lineup and solid pitching, but they don't have any stoppers in their rotation like they used to and the current players are not as clutch as the old Yanks were

I hope they finish 4th, only ahead of Baltimore, but I'd be delusional if I thought Tampa Bay could win more games than the Yankees.

I think they'll finish second, behind Boston, and end up barely missing the playoffs because the AL Central will have the Wild Card again.

I will be honest. ignoring the fact that i am a HUGE Yankee fan, i feel they have it this year. the world series championship will very likely be returnign the the bronx. Wang is a horse who will prob win 20 games this season. pettite is back in pinstrippes and ready to prove last season as a fluke. abreu will continue his stellar play from last year, and with the return of matsui, we will have one of the better outfields, at least hitting wise, in the league. our bullpen actually is also much improved since last season

Which sport are the Yankees playing this year? Basketball? Football?? Since when does the baseball season cross the year line?

Yankees are not cool.

there is no 07/08 season in baseball silly. if you mean this year, make the playoffs with the wildcard(ending their reign as division champs), beat the angels in the divisional round, and lose to the sox in the al champ. round.

Wow! The Yankee haters on this thing are real bitches... wahhhhhhhh!!! :( . They will win the AL East as usual, w/ Boston in 2nd missing out in the playoffs... again. They'll make it to the ALCS and lose in 7 games to the Twins, who will lose to the the Phillies in the WS.
