Tony LaRussa summed it up pretty well when he said "Mark told us all along he was not doing anything illegal, I dont know why he wouldnt come clean when he had his chance on the stand"

He only struck out 3.3 batters per nine innings way below the norm of 4.5 per nine innings.
Guru Bill James states a pitcher cannot succeed over the long haul with a strikeout rate like that.

They have done a lot and have a very good team. Just assume most of the team stays healthy. A world series appearance would be nice but it will probably not happen. A play off appearance could happen. If you look at the White sox, they will have no better team. They might be worse because they traded away a 17 game winner. Cubs should be better than the white sox. I personally hate the cardinals but you can't count them out. The astros might or might not be competition same as the reds. Milwakee hasn't done much to but still can't count them out i guess. Pirates, well, they have gonzalez to trade and could get a solid player in return. I just believe the cubs have a very high chance if they are healthy. it's just and opinion.

I play for a college baseball team and have been trying to develop my arm strength but haven't been seeing results. What might I need to do to get it ready for the season?

I have been playing baseball for over 8 years. This winter I just have decided that I think I'm going to quit. I didn't make our high school JV team freshmen year and now I'm a sophomore. I don't feel ready and there are people my age way better than me. I just feel like if I quit I'm giving up. But I don't have the drive to go and practice, I mean I love the sport but I don't live it. And If I quit, I'm afraid years from now I'm going to look back and have a grudge for not continuing to play. Because If I don't make my high school team, I'm not gonna get anywhere, not college not in the mlb. I mean I could still play rec if I really love the sport. But I don't feel like it interest me anymore. What should I do? I feel kind of depressed.

I do all the proper stretching, and yet I throw out my arm shortly. Why is this? By the way, I'm 14 if that helps or anything. Thanks.
