Why baseball is so great? It's a smart man's game. The constant variables and strategies that gone on during a baseball game is often over looked by the average spectator that only a true fan of the game can appreciate.
Baseball is the only sport in which the team has to perform as a unit the entire time. Unlike basketball, football, hockey and even soccer baseball is the only sport in which you can not go to your best player all the time. Could you imagine Bath Ruth batting 4 or 5 times in row with pinch runners that could stay in the game? A pitchers worst nightmare.
I could go on and on but the simple fact is, we have been blessed with the greatest pastime. "Baseball", gotta love it.

For me Baseball is the ultimate sport. I played until I was 30 college and minor leagues, I coach and wil continue to do so until I die and go to Baseball Heaven. It has taught me so much about life and how to handle adversity, I can't say enough good things about the game I love so much. There is nothing like the smell of the field, the exhilaration of that guy coming home and trying to take your head off ( yes I was a catcher) and you hang on to the ball for that last out, or getting that walkoff hit. catching a no hitter what a thrill, I caught four of them. I better shut up because i'll never finish. Love the Game, Love your question, Love you because you Love Baseball !!!!!

As Garrett Morris said, "Beisball has been berry, berry good to me." I'm on a countdown til ST as soon as the Series is over. If I had to pick one interest in life I'd take baseball over anything, yes anything! I watched the WBC and when I had cable, Mexican League, Dominican League, whatever's on. My dream in life is to be able to do nothing but watch baseball in any country where it's played. Sadly I read somewhere only 10% of Americans consider themselves to be fans of America's favorite pasttime. And I can't even begin to tell you how hard it is to find men as interested in the game as me and some of my gal friends. We really need to start spreading the good word of baseball more! For the love of the game!

I love baseball...we are whats called a baseball family
My grandpa played for the 1955 brooklyn dogers. He was even up at bat during the famous play where jackie robinson stole home. I even inherited the world series ring.
My whole family now played or has played baseball for years and years.
However, it doesnt mean you cant enjoy a football game.
