I believe that this was the last world series that Ruth played in and was the one in which his famous called shot was or was not hit, depending on your point of view. Any Ruth autograph is worth quite a bit, but it would make a differance if it was personalized, which you do not indicate.

That is awesome! You should contact the good people at Antiques Roadshow, I'm sure if there is a Roadshow scheduled near you they'd love to see the photo and tell you what it is worth. Remember that at a live auction going prices can be quite high for one of a kind items. You can reach them through the PBS website at www.pbs.org and please don't sell that photo! I'm sure there's someone in your family who will cherish it as much as you.

For something personal like that, I would hang onto it. It probably means the most to you more than anybody else anyways.
